(January 2013) Persistence and patience have finally paid off for Bear Valley Resort in California with the announcement that it has received final approval for its Environmental and Master Plan which have cleared the path for a long-planned renovation and expansion.

The planning started in 2005 when ownership of the resort and the village was consolidated. Greg Finch, managing partner of Bear Valley Resorts said “After many years of hard work, we have completed the entitlement phase and are now moving into the investment cycle. It is very exciting after all this time to be able to actually start thinking about what we can do.”

The partnership says it is confident it will secure financing for the development projects which include new chairlifts (including one that will link the resort and village) on-mountain dining and up to 350 residential units. www.bearvalley.com.
